The Cat’s Eye Tourbillon Haute Joaillerie timepiece by Swiss Girard-Perregaux is the new high jewelry watch. It has the typical Cat’s Eye oval shape and is 38 mm tall by 32 mm wide. It has a beautiful 18 k white gold case. Large diamonds in several numbers are found all over it: on the case, dial and crown. The diamonds used are over 20 carats and are in various cuts. to Girard-Perregaux the watch required over 700 hours of work to create. Attached to its strap is a gray satin strap with a white gold buckle… and more diamonds! Inside the watch is a Girard-Perregaux in-house made caliber GP09700-0006 manually wound tourbillon movement. The Tourbillon escapement is visible on the dial using a traditional GP style bridge. The movement has a power reserve of about three days. This haute joaillerie watch is priced at $490,000.
