Omantel has ravamped its brand with a new look and the tagline ‘Together’, which focuses on offering enhanced customer experience.
"In terms of branding we will now have Omantel to represent our corporate identity as well as our fixed business. We will maintain Oman Mobile as the product brand for our mobile portfolio. These will complement each other while working more closely together than ever before," said Omantel CEO Dr Amer Al Rawas.
The company sees a phased brand rollout across its business and operations, starting with the Omantel website for fixed, mobile and internet "in the coming few days". This is then followed by the rebranding of its buildings "in the coming few months" and subsequently the revamp of its stores.
Omantel’s VP of Business Development, Lars O. Gustafsson, said the rebrand has been "extensively communicated across the company" ahead of the launch, so that the staff can start delivering on the new promises.
Zuwaina Al Rashdi, senior manager, Branding and Advertising, and who is responsible for overseeing the full project said: "In creating the new logo and tagline we were looking for a simple and clear signal of how the corporate merger is bringing both company brands under a single umbrella brand, but without losing the brand equity of either Omantel or Oman Mobile."
"’Together’ is a natural evolution of Omantel’s current tag line, and a clear demonstration of how Oman’s two leading telecommunication companies are coming together. It also shows how we connect communities through innovation to allow them to stay connected with each other.
